September 2011...

Hi Everyone,

I Hope you had a lovely summer holiday and all got a little bit of sun:) As I'm sure the winter weather will soon be upon us and then Christmas, where does time go??

Premier are now venturing out and were coming to you!! With classes already in Hove, Lancing and Worthing we are opening up a new freestyle dance class at Southwick Impulse Centre starting from Saturday 9th September! The class will take place every Saturday 12:30 till 13:15 all ages and all abilities welcome! Boosting the beautiful main studio which is air conditioned, mirrored walls ,sprung floor, and a fully equipped sound system .Hope to see you there:) Its going to be loads of fun!

For all my competitive dancers please note that the Thursday night venue has now changed! Full address and map is on the timetable page. All times and prices remain the same.

Also the Wednesday Hove competitive class has now been moved to a Monday evening 5.30-6.15pm in the main gym at the Ralli Hall as we needed more space due to popularity of the class which I know has more students joining in September.

Also private lessons will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings for all competitors any time after 6.30 pm. as well as the normal slots on Fridays. Please get in contact with me should you ever wish for a lesson.

Squad days for my competitors have now been arranged. The first being on Saturday 10th September at the Sidney Walter Centre 5-.8.00pm and the second being on Saturday 1st October same venue and time. Should you not be able to attend these days then you must book a private lesson with ASAP. A snack and plenty of fluids to be brought to class please. I will be pushing you to your max!!

A huge congratulations to all of those of took there IDTA dance exams back in March. We got 100% pass rate with an amazing 97% achieving distinctions! A tough examiner who was very technical (the way I like it :) A special mention must go to our sponsored dancer Emily Gander who gained the highest mark of 97% WELL DONE!

I was proud of every single one of you. Everyone looked immaculate and danced there socks off and I had such excellent feedback.

Premiers Party/Awards night back in May was a great success once again .Loads of fun and laughter and so many parents strutting their stuff which I love to see! Countdown to next years!

On the final note I would like to wish 2 of my dancers who are sadly retiring now the very best of luck. Micheala Stakim is off to Tiffanys Performing Arts college in Essex and Kerri Stakim who is studying for an apprenticeship. Myself and the rest of the school wish you all the happiness for your future's and your welcome to pop down anytime to see us all and of the course the lovely Anne! You will all be missed! Also a big congratulations to Bethany Sayers and Zoe Martin who gained places at Chichester college. Enjoy and work hard xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hayling Island

This doesn't happen very often but I was left speechless and emotional after our weekender at Hayling Island back in June! Last year was a huge success but boy did we top it!

Premier attended the 'Dancer of Dancer Championship' competition and came home with a FABULOUS 135 TROPHIES!! With over 75% of those being top 3 places!

Outstanding results such as the under 12,14,16, 016, trio winners!! 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in the under 12 championship pairs and trio category, 4 soloist dancers becoming champions, a champ of champ finalist gaining 5th out of 16 and a big n little doubles gaining 3rd out of 73 competitors!! To name a few and then 9 dancers qualifying for the grand final of Dancer of Dancers! An amazing 7 of those making the grand final and getting placed!

All the hard work and long hours that goes into it paid off, so much so that the Worthing herald newspaper published an article on Premiers success!

No words can say how proud every single one of my dancers made me. The support shown throughout by parents and students was lovely. Also the effort and particaption shown by my parents too in the fun categories was awesome - you all looked great! I'm sure well all agree it was one to be remembered.

Its that time if year again Premier are off to Blackpool in December for the grand DK competition! This time for the whole weekend:)With loads of new dancers going to this spectacular event I know we will all leave inspired! Good luck to everybody attending.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a very BIG welcome to Premier's new students and families who have all joined us. There are to many to name but we wish you all the best here at Premier. You have all fitted in so well and are part of our big family already. Here's to the future!
